Design Blunders, Errata & Selling Deoderent with Pictures of my (hopefully ) soon to be Tragic Death in a Firey plane Crash

Seems to be a growing problem in our world. I know I'm not the first to notice :) But it just seems obvious that when you design an aircraft's landing gear, you make it as simple as possible. When Murphy wrote his law he included a line in it that people seem to have missed. That is, the more complex a system is, the more prone it will be to a Murphy's Law type of failure. Shit really does happen, all the time.
I had another thought about that plane circling around for three hours to burn off enough fuel so that when the pilot decided to go ahead and crash land his plane full of people, they would be slightly less likely to die a horrible flaming death. My thought though was this, the networks ought to pay those folks handsomely for providing nearly 4 hours of non-stop entertainment. Since news seems to have eclipsed all other dramatic and comedic forms of TV entertainment. Anyway, those people were watching their own fate on TV as they flew in circles. Unwitting performers on the world stage of CNN.
