My Kung Fu is powerful!

Got all ready to have some peoples over for BBQ and sky viewing yesterday. Everyone cancelled on me and then it got cloudy. Pretty damn irratating. Ended up watching "Shoalin & Wu Tang". Fear my 8-Divine Sword Wu Tang method. My Kung Fu is powerful!

While I'm on the subject of swordsmanship, I've finally run out of sources for Zatoichi films here locally. Guess I have to buy them if I wanna see the early ones. He made 25 films playing the same exact charecter in a little over 11 years. I've only seen about 8 of them. Can't wait to wrap my eyeballs around the rest of'em!

If you've never rented a Zatoichi film, you are really missing something. Shintaro Katsu constantly delivers some of the most sublime and convincing performances I've ever seen. Double meanings wrapped in a double entendre told as parables. Don't rent this one first though. Although a well made film, it's really like a made for TV movie. Shintaro Katso IS the blind swordsman. It's as though he embodied the part so well that even another skilled actor playing the same character seems unconvincing and lacking in depth. A rare and astonishing achievement.
